ARE YOU READY FOR A MAGICAL NIGHT?
Abracadabra, it’s the SPRING FLING!
Saturday, April 6, 2019 @ 5:00pm (snow date Sunday, April 7)
The Spring Fling is our annual service auction fund-raiser. At this fun-filled dinner party, we bid on events, dinners, trips, and some precious items that have been donated by members and friends. At the same time, we enjoy a delicious hot meal, adult beverages and entertainment.
We’ve got some surprises up our sleeves… You can count on having a MAGICAL NIGHT!
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE SPRING FLING 2019 A SUCCESS?
Mark your calendar to attend the Fling on Saturday, April 6, 2019, 5:00pm
Invite a friend to join you. Bring the kids. There will be activities and snacks for them.
Complete the attached form describing the service, event, or item you’re offering. Submit the form to Susan Weiner via email (email@example.com), or in person, by March 15, 2019.
On March 15th and after, bring in items for the Lucky Me giveaway. These items should be new and valued at $20. Examples: household items, gloves, scarves, books etc. Leave them under the coat rack at the Fellowship. If you are worried about breakage, contact me.
Ask businesses that you regularly deal with to buy an ad in the Spring Fling catalog. The necessary paperwork was emailed to you February 1st.
Sign the attendance sheet (when it becomes available) indicating that you will be attending.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SPRING FLING:
Q. What are the proceeds of the Spring Fling used for?
A. We depend upon the Fling to meet our operating expenses. Last year we raised approximately $10,000 and hope to make at least that this year. Our costs are always going up, and keeping afloat is always a challenge.
Q. What are the sources of income at the Fling?
A. The income streams include catalog ads, admission donation, bidding, and Shared Prosperity (50/50).
Q. How much does it cost to attend the Fling?
A. Admission donations are $15 for adults. Children are free.
Q. What does admission cover?
A. Each person will receive 25 tickets to be used for the Lucky Me giveaway. A full hot dinner (menu to be determined) will be served, along with beverages appropriate for adults and children. The entertainment is still in the planning stages.
Sign Up and Go sheets will be available Sunday, March 31st, at the Fellowship.
Sharing in the social events and the services offered enrich our community by bringing us together in fun and interesting ways,especially during the summer when we don’t have services.
